Oddly, this is not at Talisker, but is at Carbost. It is the only distillery on Skye and here is made the fine Talisker whisky.
Nowadays photography is not permitted, allegedly for health and safety reasons, but no such restraint was in force when I took these shots in 1978. Does this mean that their manufacturing process has become more dangerous?
In those days the floor was of an open grille type of the sort often found in engineering plants and ships' engine rooms, which meant that, as the tour progressed, those on the floor below could study the underwear of the ladies on the floor above.
More recently, better flooring was installed. I wonder if that was why? Damn!
